How Often Should Your Dog Be Groomed?
Grooming frequency is dependent on the breed and the quality of a dog’s coat. Some breeds are considered high maintenance and should have frequent grooming while others only require infrequent grooming. It’s important to see that proper grooming is maintained for the health and happiness of your dog.
Do you need to use my electricity or water?
No. Our trailer is fully equipped with a generator for electricity and large freshwater grey water tanks which we fill and empty at an approved dump station.
My current groomer requires my dog to stay several hours, sometimes all day, how long will it take you to groom my dog?
Grooming shops service a large volume of pets and usually juggle 2-5 at a time extending the process, adding stress to you and your pet. When you use a mobile grooming service, your pet will receive one-on-one attention from a professional groomer from start to finish without leaving your own driveway. Grooming times normally average 1 to 2 hours per pet, but can vary depending on the breed and condition of the coat.
Why can’t I watch while my pet is being groomed?
Due to safety and liability issues, we can’t have you or your family in the salon during your pet’s appointment. We will gladly give you a tour of our salon before we begin your pet’s groom.
Can I have my pet washed in my own shampoo?
We have a large variety of premium shampoos for almost every coat type, although we would be happy to use any preferred pet-safe or veterinarian prescribed shampoos. If your shampoo is designed for human use but prescribed by your veterinarian, please make sure to either have a label on it from your vet or talk to the groomer when you make your first appointment.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes! We love puppies and mobile grooming is perfect for them. We like to get puppies used to the grooming process slowly, therefore we may not recommend using clippers on their first visit. Puppies are very impressionable and we want this to be a positive experience so they enjoy coming back!
I’ve heard mobile groomers charge a little more than my regular salon. Why should I choose your mobile spa?
Mobile is very different than a free-standing grooming shop. Although we are slightly more, many grooming shops will charge around $20 extra to do a speed groom which would get your pet finished and out the door in the same time we do for no additional charge.
Here are a few other reasons to use our mobile grooming spa:
No stressful shop situation * One on one attention * Convenient * No exposure to possible diseases and parasites * No cages or dangerous cage dryers * Always a smoke-free environment
